Celebrating New Town

For the past 6 or so years, we have celebrated New Town by holding events that are similar to the kinds of events that would have happened when the St. Luke and Odd Fellows Hall was a vibrant community center.  Each year we celebrate New Town with a Soul Food Sampling in the St. Luke and Odd Fellows Hall, a Gospel Sing in June, a Blues, Brews & Bar-B-Q festival in the Fall, and a pot luck dinner in December to celebrate the holidays.  Below are pictures from these events.  Please plan on joining us once we can resume these celebrations of New Town.

Soul Food Sampling – this event celebrates the unique cuisine invented by Black women across the many centuries they were enslaved.  We recognize the genius of these women by sampling three typical soul food meals in the magic surroundings of the St. Luke and Odd Fellows Hall.
